ACE Technical Charter High School

Planning a path from internship to career, in the construction industry

Paschen is proud to support ACE Technical Charter High School (ACE Tech), a school that was founded in 2004 to introduce minority and low-income students to architecture, construction, and engineering (ACE) careers.

For the last decade, Paschen has selected one intern each summer from ACE Tech. To help prepare them for careers in architecture, construction, and engineering, these summer interns are exposed to all aspects of Paschen’s business.

One of Paschen’s high school interns from ACE Tech continued to intern until her graduation from college and was hired as a Project Engineer with the company.

In addition to hiring interns, Paschen participates in a number of school events, including ACE Tech’s Journey to Success, a half-day workshop offered to ACE Tech seniors to help them learn about and prepare for various career paths. Paschen also participates in the Annual Career Fair where employees representing various aspects of Paschen’s business—such as carpenters, engineers, and administrative employees—provide information about their career paths and describe what led them to choose their current disciplines.
