Over the years, there have been many organizations that F.H. Paschen, S.N. has chosen to support, either with personnel, financial resources, or both. We know that sharing our knowledge and success with those who can benefit most is critical for our community. We are currently dedicated to the following organizations:
ACE Tech Charter High School
ACE Tech is a charter school in Chicago focusing on Architecture, Construction, and Engineering that FHPSNN has chosen to sponsor. As part of our commitment, we host jobsite visits, job shadowing opportunities, and internships. Periodically, we also lead an “Aspiring Builders” class that focuses on specific topics (i.e. Typical Day of a Construction Engineer, What it Takes To Get Into the Construction Industry, Career Paths, etc.).

Joey’s Angels
Joey’s Angels is a chapter of the Chicago-based Leukemia Research Foundation. In 1996, Larry Mix, one of our Senior Project Managers, lost his 3-½ year old son to leukemia. Larry and his wife, Patty, formed Joey’s Angels to raise money for the Foundation to help find a cure for the dreaded disease that took their son.
F.H. Paschen, S.N. Nielsen has supported Joey’s Angels by sponsoring the Angels in the Fairway Golf Outing held annually in August. You can learn more by visiting

Principal for a Day
“The goal of Principal for a Day is that all PFADs will continue to engage themselves, their companies, organizations or associations in continued involvement and support throughout the year at their school.”

Principal for a Day is a program that Mayor Daley brought to Chicago in 1998. It allows business and civic leaders to spend a day at a particular school to broaden their knowledge of the accomplishments and needs of that school community and launch or renew their commitment to CPS by providing volunteers as well as materials and financial resources throughout the year to support the schools.
F.H. Paschen, S.N. Nielsen has participated in this program since 2000 and is currently partnered with ACE Tech Charter High School. On an assigned fall date, a small team spends a day with the students and staff to learn what is happening in their school. The team members also share the various aspects of their careers at F.H. Paschen, S.N. Nielsen and hold classroom observations and discussions.
